My Story and Service in the Methodist Church: I was born in
San José, Costa Rica, in 1973, and since then, life has gifted
me a path filled with blessings and responsibilities, both in the
family and spiritual realms. This text reflects on my family
history and my dedication to ministry within the Global
Methodist Church; a community that has shaped my calling
since 1997.
Family: The Core of My Existence. I am married to Ale, a
wonderful partner who has been a fundamental pillar at every
stage of our life together. Together, we have raised a family of
four children: Edder, Andrés, Andrea, and José. Each one
represents a unique blessing that has filled our home with
love and constant learning. Our joy has multiplied further with
the arrival of five grandchildren: Camila, Dana, Adam, Alany,
and Adeline, who bring a renewed happiness that only the
innocence and joy of childhood can offer.
Calling and Service: A Path Guided by God’s Grace. By the
grace of God, I have had the privilege of serving in the
Methodist church since 1997, an experience that has
enriched both my spiritual and personal life. My commitment
to this community has meant not only constant dedication but
also profound learning regarding the church's mission in the
contemporary world. I currently serve as an ordained minister
in the Global Methodist Church, striving to share a message
of hope, love, and social justice rooted in Christian values.
This ministry is far more than a title; it is a sacred
responsibility that involves walking alongside, guiding, and
strengthening the faithful on their individual and collective
journeys, always inspired by the Word of God and the
Methodist tradition.
Conclusion:
My life -interwoven with family and religious service- reflects
a deep commitment to values I hold essential: love, faith, and
dedication. Beyond the generations I have watched grow,
what sustains me is the certainty that every step on this
ministerial path is guided by the Holy Spirit, urging me to
continue serving with humility and passion. In a changing
world, the Global Methodist Church remains, for me and for
many, a beacon of hope and community.

a. The positive high points of my life are too numerous to list. I have always felt an amazing strong bond with my parents, but it was not through them that I first felt the influence of faith in God. It was through my precious grandmothers and their love of Jesus. And then there was my best friend in grade school, who just happened to be a pastor's daughter, insisted that I start attending their new church as soon as it was built. As my faith grew, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and was baptized at the age of 13. So many people have been such a positive influence in my life over the years. Teachers that favored me, bosses that promoted me, friends and family that treasured me, and I them. But the true rock in my life has been my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I've learned to just trust God, he is my strength. As my faith continues to grow, so do my blessings. One of my most awesome blessings is to be the Children's Pastor at Ponder UMC. I've got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart. Praise be to God!
